OUR MINDFULNESS ROUTINE

How often do you think “I’m so busy! I wish I had more time for myself!”, “I need more hours in the day!” or “I don’t have time for wellness. What even is that!”?

 

The combination of work, running round after your kids (or partners!), staying social, and looking after yourself can be extremely challenging, and it is difficult to find a balance. Leading incredibly busy lives, we often find ourselves putting others first and our own well-being at the bottom of that long list of ‘To Dos’!

 

“Me time” allows us to de-stress, unwind and rejuvenate, whilst creating reserves of energy and peace.

 

Of course it is difficult to find time to solely focus on yourself, however we cannot stress the importance (and benefits) of it…for your mind and your skin. In this blog post we explain the easiest and best ways to work ‘me time’ into your daily routine, even if it is just for 20 minutes a day!

 

1. Run a Bath

 

Shut yourself in your bathroom and wash your troubles away in a lovely warm bath. Pour a few drops of our Moisturising Oil into the water and delight in the soothing scent of Verdure. Aromatherapy can be a powerful tool for elevating your mood. More than just a fragrance, the essential oil of patchouli can transform your mood and your productivity. The warm, musky scent of patchouli helps reduce tension, insomnia and anxiety, while uplifting the mind.

 

2. Pamper Yourself

 

Once you’re thoroughly clean and relaxed, massage our Moisturising Oil all over your body this light oil will glide over your skin as you fully unwind. Not only will this help improve circulation for collagen boosting it will also help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, stretch marks and improve lost skin elasticity…two birds with one stone!

 

3. Stay Mindful

 

Just before you go to sleep, is the perfect moment for a spot of mindfulness. Start by spritzing our Verdure Room Mist 30cm away from your pillow, the fine mist will double up as a pillow spray. Once you’re comfortable take 5 deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. The warming fragrance of patchouli essential oils help relieve stress, tension and anxiety, thereby relaxing your body into a healthy nights sleep.
