A few months ago, we introduced you to the charity The Ripple Reading Effect, the amazing cause that Malée supports as part of our corporate social responsibility policy. Teaching children to read with understanding.

We asked for your social media likes, during random acts of kindness week. We would take those likes, convert them into money and match the amount as our surprise random act of kindness as a donation to Ripple Reading.
It was a fundraiser that the team at Ripple Reading was not aware of. A fundraise that, although we had no idea what impact it would have, we were sure it would be put to good use.
Malée founder, Zeze Oriaikhi-Sao, spent half a day with the team at Ripple Reading on a recent trip to South Africa, where she was shown how the money we raised with your social media likes and our support would be spent, and not only the impact it would have in the program, but also the lives it would change.
IT IS SAID THAT “EDUCATION IS THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON WHICH YOU CAN USE TO CHANGE THE WORLD” NELSON MANDELA.
Our donation will be used to buy an air-conditioning unit that will turn an old shipping container into a habitable classroom with desks and chairs. So, come rain or sunshine, learning is still top of the agenda and in conducive conditions.
With your support, we were able to turn your social media likes, your support for our brand and products and our support for this amazing charity into priceless moments in the lives of these children.
